Why Not Peace?

Why not peace? It seems to me to best interests of our country would be served to be known as a nation of peace and humanitarianism. We can remain a super power without war. Quiet Giants. Concentrate our efforts on world hunger and poverty. Put our finances into the things that would better our nation and the world. There can never be enough retribution to avenge 9/11. Instead their legacy could be to end violence and feed the hungry, house the homeless,end disease, and the abuse of our less fortunate. Heal the earth our Mother address global warming with a ferver. Put prayer back in the schools allow those moments of choice for our young at the beginning of each day. Where they can pray or meditate in their way according to their beliefs. Teach them they are responsible to and for one another. Give them an achievable goal through UNITY.
